Viral transcriptional regulation

EBV Oncoproteins

Genome-wide studies of EBV nuclear antigens and latent membrane proteins that rewire B-cell transcription.

Overview

EBV Oncoproteins

EBV oncoproteins coordinate with host transcription factors to activate promoters and enhancers, alter chromatin states, and support lymphoblastoid cell growth. This project area focuses on the regulatory logic of EBNA-LP, EBNA2, EBNA3 proteins, and LMP1/LMP2A-driven programs.

  • EBNA-LP localization to promoters and enhancers with cell transcription factors and EBNA2.
  • EBNA3A and EBNA3C occupancy through BATF/IRF4 composite sites.
  • LMP1-mediated signaling through NF-kappaB and TRAF1 pathways.
  • Mouse and cell-line systems for EBV-driven lymphoproliferative biology.
